A baby is coming, Let’s get the nursery ready | Rekart Photography

Instead of all the fluff and dragging on about nonsense, I want to dive in and get to the nitty gritty of planning and preparing the nursery.

First is first let’s determine your budget. What will you add to your baby shower gift list? What do you want to do right away?

What color should we paint the nursery?

Let’s start with the bare bones of the room. Washing down the walls, baseboards, clean the windows and wipe down the closet. Do you have wood floors? Do you have splinters coming up from the woord? Do you need to hire a floor company to come in and buff and care for the wood? Are you thinking of new carpets but this is not in the budget, No worries. Rent a carpet cleaner and clean the carpets yourself to save your budget for the fun stuff. The room is cleaned and you are ready to decide on a theme or a color?

Are you unsure what to put on the baby shower list. Not wanting to add to much or to little? Not want to feel like you are asking to much, I promise you that people want to buy all the gifts and want you and your new baby to have all the things you want. Add all the stuff and have the baby shower early so you can then prepare for the things that were not purchased on the list.

How do you put the crib together.

Need help with what to ask for? I have asked my clients what was one thing they could not live without and here are a few items they shared. Grab your pen and paper, You will want to add this to your list too!

Pregnancy

Preparing for baby’s nursery might feel exhausting. It will be fun and you deserve to be pampered. Let’s not forget to take care of your body during all this preparation. Find yourself a pregnancy chiropractor to adjust your body. Your body is changing and growing. I also recommend a prenatal massage. Maybe a pamper you day with a manicure and pedicure. At the end of your pregnancy you will find or not be able to find your toes and your tired feet will love you for a pedicure.

Baby is almost here!!!! Is this a read you want more of? Let me know in the comments.

Photographer Tip: Book your Maternity and Newborn session before you are 25 weeks. Many times getting on your favorite photographers calendar is a wait. Booking early is best. Most photographers will photograph your pregnancy bump from 29-34 weeks. Ask about a bundle over. Many photographers offer Maternity & Newborn bundle. Be sure to add your photographer to your registry.

Congratulations! Once you have read this blog, you are so much closer to preparing the nursery and your sweet baby.
