Emmy’s mommy and I met at a photography conference several years ago. When Emmy came earth side I reached out to her mom and asked to photograph her. When she said yes I was so excited but nervous too. Because her mommy is a photographer, I hoped to deliver a gallery she would cherish.

We made sure Emmy was at the absolute best age for newborn photography, for this Emmy needed to be between 5 and 14 days old. Babies at this age still tend to be pretty laid back, curled up and give me all the sleepy vibes.

Emmy loved being wrapped and this color green fit her complexion beautifully. Let me be honest everything I put her in went well with her complexion.

I wanted to use this backdrop and give Emmy all the mystical feels and I think I succeeded. She relaxed and enjoyed my little bed so much. I had to take several different angles of her in my bed prop. I absolutely love this photo and look forward to sharing some of my other floral backdrops soon.

My Spa day prop was just so fitting with Emmy. She will definitely need spa days growing up.
